Ronald K. Law, MD
Biography
Dr. Ron K. Law is the
founder of the Family Building
Institute. Working with financial institutions to maximize
the power of family as a speaker and facilitator, Dr. Law believes that
family wealth is 50% financial and 50% non-material. To enable the
development of both types of wealth,
he has identified an important
stage of life that lies between parenting and grand parenting. In his
post-parenting program, coined Family Building®,
Dr. Law proposes that this phase of life offers the perfect opportunity
for a series of “Meaningful Conversations”
to take place between
the generations. His compelling program offers a way to preserve the
unique identity and power of any family.
Ronald K. Law,
M.D., attended the University of Pennsylvania where he
earned his Bachelor of Arts (1971) and Doctor of Medicine (1975). Ron
has practiced interventional and consultative cardiology in Denver since 1980. He is the President of
Cardiovascular Associates, PC, a large metro Denver cardiovascular practice.
Aside from his medical
practice, Ron and his three brothers, Dennis, Chris and Jeremy (also
medical doctors), own and manage a consumer products business that has a
positive effect on the environment. Diogen and Holiday Creations offer
LED lighting products to mass merchants in the
US
and Canada.
According to a Canadian utility company, the impact of the number of
products sold by the companies in
Canada
is equivalent to taking 200,000 cars off the road.
The Law brothers also own
and operate a real estate investment and development company in
Denver, Colorado. Global Pacific Properties Inc. owns
and manages properties in downtown Denver,
North Denver, Cherry Creek, Denver Tech Center,
Highlands and Inverness
Office Park.
Dr. Law and his brothers are
producers of Warriors of Virtue, a $35M action adventure shot in
three countries (US, Canada
and China) and
released to 2300 screens by MGM in the
US
and 13 countries in 1997. After initial release,
Warriors of Virtue sold 1.2M copies in video format and is still on
the Blockbuster® top 100 kids’ movies. In addition, Dr. Law
and his writing partner, Jan Juknievich (hydrologist, engineer, human
encyclopedia), have written four screenplays and one stage play.
Ron and his wife,
Susan, reside in a Denver suburb. They have three grown children:
Michael, Kristen and David. Ron, Susan, their parents and siblings
utilize his Family Building®
Meaningful Conversations to strengthen their relationships
with their children and to assure that family wealth (material and
non-material) is transitioned and secured through present and future
generations. Ron’s passion is to share his insights and experience about
the Family Building®
phenomenon with others.
